First, can I just start off by saying how much I love this relationship that’s grown between us?
Honestly, I’m not a fan of the phrase “ride or die” (I think “ride and thrive” has a much better ring to it), however, you and I have gotten pretty close to being just that.
You were there when I took the leap and left my job, to live, in front of thousands. You were there when my books hit the shelves when my show went on air, and while I celebrated my sweet babies’ birthdays, hence why I view us as besties.
Now, I’ve got to be honest here (because you know I’m always going to keep it 100 with you), I feel like I’ve been holding back in this friendship of ours.
Don’t get me wrong, I have put my whole heart into giving you top-shelf business advice because I believe that what you do is meaningful work and is so incredibly worthy of wherever you want to take it.
But I think it’s time we took this out of the board room and into the living room. I think it’s about time I shared with you beyond #careergoals and gave you an inside look at how I view life as a whole.
I’m talking about all of it…healing, parenting, health, identity, faith. I’m ready to be an open book with you and show you more than I’ve ever shown anyone. Like, ever.
The Inconvenient Truth We All Kind Of Wish We Could Avoid…It’s All Connected
(…because, as easy as it may be to look like a one-dimensional being on the gram’, God made us perfectly complex…and just the right amount of extra)
So, here’s the thing, I believe you’re limitless. In fact, it’s my personal belief that all of us are born with buckets of options, and countless pathways for us to choose from when it comes to how we want our one and only beautiful life to look before our lap around the track is over.
And if you’re like most people, you might find this abundance of options downright terrifying. I know I did.
Especially considering the fact that since we entered the world there’s been a plethora of contradicting information on how to navigate our way through these options to know which to optimize and which to bid adieu.
Trust your gut.
Follow your passion.
Never wear brown with black.
Think of a long term strategy.
Look for where there’s a need.

Yeah…It’s a lot.
But somewhere along the way on my journey to success, I discovered three major truths:
Truth #1: As beautiful as spontaneity is, it can also be harmful.
Look, I love a good rom-com “race to the airport” scene as much as the next person, but that doesn’t mean it’s how I want to live my life.
One, because I’ve seen the incredible value that comes from having clarity and direction ahead of time, and two because…have you seen these shoes I have to wear on TV sometimes?
Best sellers, television shows, seven-figure businesses…very few are created on a whim.

Truth #2: Time is the asset we never get back.
Ask any mother what’s the one thing she wishes she could get back, and she’ll tell you “time”. But you don’t have to be a parent to understand just how quickly time can slip through your fingers.
You could be the person that just lost a parent of their own, someone that wishes they could take back those years from that toxic relationship, or someone who wishes they really had taken the time to backpack through Europe before all the responsibilities of life came into play (psst, not too late for that one by the way).
Time is our most valuable asset because it’s truly something we can never get back, and unfortunately, that’s rarely something that comes to mind when it’s time to make important decisions about the opportunities in front of us.
Truth #3: With the right strategy in place you can make the right choices for yourself every time, in every area of your life.
Okay, now here is the big one…and quite possibly what I owe all of my success to (in both my personal and professional life). I discovered that there really is a foolproof, spiritually aligned, barrier-breaking formula to making the very best choices for yourself every single time. Kind of like having your own set of cheat codes to the game.
